Ambassador of Turkey accredited to the Maldives, Dr Burak Akçapar has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, the President and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of further strengthening these ties.
They also explored possibilities of increasing Turkish investments in the Maldives, especially in the areas of tourism, construction and financial services.
In this regard, the President briefed the Ambassador on the Turkish investment projects currently underway in the Maldives.
Ambassador Akçapar reassured President Waheed of Turkey’s continuous support and cooperation to the Maldives.
