President Establishes Committee to Identify Necessary Measures and Challenges in Protecting Children From Sexual Violence

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has established a committee to identify necessary measures and challenges in protecting children from sexual violence. Dr Aishath Shiham, Vice Chairperson of Family Protection Authority was appointed as the Chairperson of the Committee.

Other members of the committee are:

- Ms Zulaikha Shabeen, Assistance Director at the Ministry of Gender, Family and Human Rights
- Uza Aishath Liusha Zahir, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Sheikh Hussain Rasheed Yoosuf, Inspector General of Correction Services at the Ministry of Home Affairs
- Uz Izzuddin Adnan, Ministry of Islamic Affairs
- Uz Moosa Aalim, State Attorney at the Attorney General’s Office
