President Dr Mohamed Waheed today met with the Maldivian National Cricket team taking part in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Twenty20 Cricket Tournament. The tournaments will be held in Kathmandu from 26 March to 3rd April.
During the meeting held at the President’s Office, the President expressed appreciation of the past achievements of the team and urged the players to exhibit the same spirit in the upcoming ACC Twenty20 tournament.
President Waheed requested the Ministry of Human Resource, Youth and Sports to necessitate greater effort to the development of the sport in the Maldives and assured of the government’s assistance in this endeavor.
President Waheed wished the Maldivian National Cricket Team success in their future endeavours.
