President Dr Mohamed Waheed has sent condolences to the family of the late Mr Abdulla Ali who had rendered valuable services to the education sector of the country.
The late Mr Abdulla Ali passed away Friday morning at Lanka Hospital in Colombo, while receiving treatment. He was 87.
In a phone conversation with Mr Abdulla Ali’s daughter Hamida Abdulla, the President said that he received the news of Mr Abdulla Ali’s passing with great sadness.
Mr Abdulla Ali has served Madhrasathu Ifthithaah of Lahviyani Naifaru in various ways over 64 years. The late Abdulla Ali was also a renowned author.
The late Abdulla Ali is survived by 5 daughters and 3 sons.
