Honorary Consul of the Maldives in France Mr David Salkin has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
At the meeting, the President briefed Mr Salkin on the economic challenges to the country, and the measures being taken by the government to overcome these challenges. The President also informed on the progress of the French government aided projects that were currently underway.
The President and the Honorary Consul discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Maldives and France, particularly the investment opportunities for French entrepreneurs in the Maldives.
