President Dr Mohamed Waheed has assured that this administration was ready to work with all island councils. The President made this remark while addressing the people of Maakurathu of North Maalhosmadulu Atoll, as part of his visit to the island.
Speaking at the function the President said that the current administration would never discriminate against anyone and would always assists the people in every way the government could.
In his speech, President Waheed noted the importance of council members’ support to the government. The President also reassured the people that the government would continue its efforts in achieving the developmental goals of the island.
