“Government would ensure the speedy execution of housing projects for Hulhumale and Male’” - President Waheed

President Dr Mohamed Waheed has said that the government would ensure the speedy execution of housing projects for Hulhumale and Male’. The President made this remark while speaking at the commencing ceremony of the 1000 Housing Units Project in Hulhumale held Sunday afternoon. The project was completed with the assistance of a preferential loan from the Government of China.

At the ceremony held at Hulhumale, the President expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chinese government and the China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) for carrying out such a significant project in the Maldives. Noting the success of the previous projects carried out with assistance from the Chinese government, the President underlined that, during his visit to China this year, an agreement was signed between the Government of Maldives and the Government of China for an even bigger project.
