President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today met with the people of Rin’budhoo of Dhaalu Atoll, as part of his current tour of the atoll.
Addressing the people of the island, the President appealed to the people of Rin’budhoo to reconsider migrating to another island. Noting that real democracy was one that listens to its people, the President said that the government will not make any decision without the input of the people.
In his speech, the President said that the government would see to it that the people’s hopes were fulfilled. In this regard, the President expressed his hopes that soon, power service to be provided to the island under Fenaka Corporation Ltd.
