High Commissioner of Singapore accredited to the Maldives Dr. Chua Yong Hai has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed today.
Discussions at the meeting, held at the President’s Office, were focused on advancing the close relations that exist between the Maldives and Singapore.
At the meeting, the President underscored that Singapore has been an important development partner of the Maldives in many areas, and expressed his gratitude for the continuous support from the Singaporean government.
The President and the High Commissioner explored areas where further assistance could be provided to the Maldives.
