The cabinet has today advised the President to start taking the immediate measures needed to ensure security and safety in the country.

At the meeting of the cabinet held today, members strongly condemned the fatal attack on late Dr Afrasheem Ali, Parliament Member for the Ungoofaaru region. All the cabinet members assured of their commitment to the investigation of the case, with the assistance from international agencies, to bring to justice those responsible for the attack.

At today’s meeting, the cabinet decided to allocate 8 housing units in Naifaru, for those who wished to migrate from Maafilaafushi, and make all necessary arrangements for those families as soon as possible.
