President Dr Mohamed Waheed has condemned in the strictest terms, the fatal attack on Dr Afrasheem Ali, Parliament member of the Raa Ungoofaaru region, in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
In a press statement issued today, the President has said that it was with deep distress and profound sadness that he learnt of the stab attack on Dr Afrasheem Ali.
The President also extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family, at this time of grief.
In his press statement, President Waheed has said that the government will exercise all its tools in bringing to justice, those responsible for this act of brutality.
