Chairman of UK-Maldives all parliamentary group calls on the President

The Chairman of the UK-Maldives all parliamentary group Mr David Amess has paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Waheed this morning.

At the meeting held at the President’s Office, the President highlighted the political history of the Maldives, and briefed on the political environment of the last three years.

At the meeting, Mr Amess spoke on the importance of upholding democratic values.
