President Dr Mohamed Waheed will address the nation Thursday evening, at a special function held to commemorate the 47th Independence Day of the Maldives. The function, organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will be held at the Republic Square.
The programme for the event also includes the ceremonial hoisting of the national flag at the grand mast at the Republic Square.
