Members of Shaviyani Kan’ditheemu Island Council have today met with President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.
Underlining that the island had been neglected very much in the past three years, council members informed the President, the problematic issues encountered by the people. Members focused on the establishment of a good quality sewerage system in the island, and the damages being caused to the seawall.
The council members also highlighted their hopes for the further advancement of the health sector and education sector in the island.
At the meeting, President Waheed assured council members that their issues would be looked into, and necessary measures would be taken.
