Representatives of Raa Ungoofaaru Island Council have met with President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held at the President’s Office this afternoon.
At the meeting, members of the council conveyed the people’s support for President Waheed’s strategic policies, in carrying out his duties and establishing peace and calm in the country.
Members of the council also briefed the President on the economic challenges faced in the island. Further, council members shared details of their proposal of ways to increase the revenue of the island.
President Waheed assured council members that the people’s concerns would be looked into, and necessary measures would be taken, in solving the problems.
