First lady Madam Ilham Hussain has today visited India’s National Center for Autism. Madam lham Hussain is the founder member of the Autism Association of the Maldives.
During her visit, Madam Ilham took a tour of the center, and met with the senior staff.
At the center, Madam Ilham Hussain spoke on the activities being carried out in the Maldives to increase awareness of the condition. She also noted that it was important for those who worked with autistic children in the Maldives, to pursue training at the National Center for Autism in India.
