President Dr Mohamed Waheed has this afternoon opened a branch of STO Pharmacy in Kulhudhuffushi of Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President stressed on the importance of fulfilling the people’s medical needs at a feasible price. The President expressed his gratitude to STO for arranging the pharmacy’s services to be provided to other islands of the region as well, via the pharmacy opened today.
Speaking in this regard, President Waheed highlighted the difficulties faced in many islands, in obtaining medical services under the universal health insurance programme, Aa Sandha.
Noting that STO works at providing primary services to the people at a feasible rate, the President expressed his appreciation to the Managing Director and all the staff at STO. In his speech, President Waheed requested the staff at the pharmacy to be keen and caring in serving the people.
