President Dr Mohamed Waheed has said that he would never make unrealistic promises, while addressing the people of Hirimaradhoo this evening. The President is currently on a tour of some islands in Haa Dhaalu Atoll.
President Waheed praised the people of Hirimaradhoo for the unity and close relations among the people.
Pointing out that a lot was needed to be done for the development of the island, the President assured that about thirty million rufiyaa would be allocated for the development of the island, in the next year’s budget. The President also said that the opinion of the people would be considered in deciding the areas the budget would be spent on.
