President Mohamed Nasheed has extended the greetings to the people of the Maldives on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha. He extended Eid greetings, in his weekly radio address which was broadcast at 10 am, this morning on the Voice of Maldives.
The President said conveying greetings of Eid to the people of the Maldives gave him a special joy. He also extended his well wishes and greetings of Eid to all Maldivian pilgrims in Mecca. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant blessings and joy on this auspicious occasion.
The President also sent Eid greetings to the Leaders of the Islamic countries and to the Heads of Islamic Organisations. The President has also been receiving greetings from them.
