Members of Nolhivaranfaru Island Council, of Haa Dhaalu atoll, have today met with President Dr Mohamed Waheed. The meeting was held this afternoon at the President’s Office.
During the meeting the members of the council conveyed the people’s congratulations to the President on his assumption of office. They also expressed the people’s support to the government. The members of the council further briefed the President on the developmental challenges faced by the people of the island.
President Waheed thanked the people of Nolhivaranfaru for their support and cooperation with the government. He also assured council members that the developmental concerned faced by the people would be looked into, and necessary measures would be taken.
