President Dr Mohamed Waheed has congratulated Abdulla Jabir of Jumhooree Party and Ahmed Shareef of PPM for winning the seats in the People’s Majlis.
Provisional results show that Abdulla Jabir won the Kaashidhoo constituency with 1107 votes, and Ahmed Shareef with 1756 votes, won the Thimarafushi constituency.
The President considers this electoral win for Abdulla Jabir and Ahmed Shareef a great victory for the government, as both the candidates belong to the government’s coalition.
