In his address to the people of Omadhoo, during a visit to the island on Friday, President Dr Mohamed Waheed has said he hoped that the current political problems would be resolved soon. However, he said a concerted effort by all political parties was necessary to resolve those problems.
Noting that Omadhoo had been a deeply neglected island up until now, the President highlighted the developmental needs for the island. He said his administration would work to begin at least some of the developmental projects for the island.
The President further reaffirmed his commitment to treat all citizens equally, regardless of their political affiliations.
