The island council of Rasmaadhoo of Raa atoll have today conveyed to President Dr Mohamed Waheed, the support and well wishes of the people of Rasmaadhoo.
During a meeting held this afternoon at the President’s Office, the members of the council also conveyed the people’s congratulations to the President on his assumption of office and for the remarkable courage and resolve the President demonstrated when he delivered this year’s Presidential Address.
President Waheed thanked the people of Rasmaadhoo for their support and cooperation with the government. He also assured council members that the developmental concerned faced by the people would be looked into, and necessary measures would be taken.
The President also accepted the invitation made by the council members to visit the island and said he hoped to visit Raa Atoll in the near future.
