As part of a series of information sessions, the IMF mission today presented on the Maldives economic outlook, to senior government officials and businesses. Cabinet ministers attended today’s session which was held at the President’s Office.
The IMF presented information on the current economic situation and possible fiscal measures that could be taken to overcome the situation. The IMF also advised the government that not doing anything could lead to an economic crisis and all parties must come together to avoid a crisis.
