As part of his current tour of the atoll, President Dr Mohamed Waheed has today met with the people of Hithadhoo, Maavah and Kunahandhoo of Laamu Atoll.
During his visit to the islands, President Waheed spoke on the developmental needs of the people and the government’s commitment to improve the well-being of the people. He especially, emphasised the importance of improving the quality of education, creating job opportunities, development of the health sector, and establishing proper sewerage systems in the islands.
The President also spoke on the importance of respecting each other’s opinions, while marinating the unity and harmony among the people.
