President Mohamed Waheed has been receiving congratulatory messages from island councils for the Presidential Address delivered on 19 March, amid the chaotic environment.
The messages especially noted the remarkable example of patience, courage and dignity shown by President Waheed when he delivered the address. The Councils also thanked him for his unwavering commitment to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law.
