By the power vested in him by Article 132 of the Constitution, President Dr Mohamed Waheed has placed Veshi Fahi Malé programme to be administered under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Housing and Environment. The Veshi Fahi Malé Programme Office previously ran as a separate office under the President’s Office.
The Veshi Fahi Malé Programme Office was established to centrally coordinate the Veshi Fahi Malé Programme, as part of the former government’s housing pledge, and to develope adequate housing in Male’.
The Veshi Fahi Malé Programme Office works to execute the decisions taken by the Steering Committee and Technical Committee of Veshi Fahi Malé Programme, and disclose to the media and the public, information on the projects undertaken by the Veshi Fahi Malé Programme.
