President Dr Mohamed Waheed Hassan appointed five ministers to head ministries in an acting capacity, until Ministers are appointed to the Ministries.
The appointments are as follows:
- Minister of Economic Development Mr Ahmed Mohamed as the Acting Minister of Finance and Treasury
- Minister of Transport and Communication Dr Ahmed Shamheed as the Acting Minister of Housing and Environment
- Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Mr Ahmed Adheeb Abdul Ghafoor as the Acting Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture
- Minister of Education Dr Asim Ahmed as the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs
- Minister of Health and Family Dr Ahmed Jamsheed Mohamed as the Acting Minister of Islamic Affairs
