President Mohamed Nasheed has today opened the Maritime Academy of Maldives, at the old Haa Dhaalu State House building in Kulhudhuffushi.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President said that all State property should be utilised in a way that is most beneficial to the people. President Nasheed also noted that skilled, well-educated youth was indispensable in achieving national development and attaining city status in Kulhudhuffushi.
Further, President Nasheed requested the students at the academy, to put in their maximum effort and bring about better development to their home island and the country.
