Financial Controller Ahmed Assad has tendered his resignation and President Mohamed Nasheed has accepted it and conveyed gratitude for his honest and loyal public services to the country.
In a letter sent to Ahmed Assad, the President wrote to convey gratitude for services rendered to the nation and the people within the past 3 years, while employed as Minister of State for Finance and Treasury and later on as Financial Controller.
In his letter the President noted upon Ahmed Assad’s capability and tireless advocacy in working to fortify relations with International Monetary Fund (I.M.F) and other agencies so as to promote the gain of international and fiscal aid to the Maldives.
Additionally, the President highlighted on his capability to obtain and promote confidence in international and fiscal matters between Maldives and other countries.
The President also noted on his skills in formulating government program budgeting, solidifying the budget structure and increasing the operational fiscal capability of the government.
The President further expressed gratitude Ahmed Assad’s work in formulating the government Manifesto. The President concluded in commending the supportive efforts of Ahmed Assad towards the development of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, during his tenure as Minister of State for Finance and Treasury.
