New Zealand High Commissioner calls on the President

High Commissioner of New Zealand to the Maldives Peter Hamilton has today paid a courtesy call on President Mohamed Nasheed.

At the meeting held at the President’s Office this morning, discussions were held on ways to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the Maldives and New Zealand.

The President emphasised on the significance of fishing by means of pole and line, in the Indian Ocean region, noting that it was the more economically feasible method.
