President Mohamed Nasheed has opened the display of historical manuscripts adjacent to the Kalaafaanu Mosque in Hagngnaameedhoo and presented historical manuscripts to the mosque.

Manuscripts presented by the President, which dated back to some 400 years were about building and maintaining a mausoleum for Sultan Kalaafaanu in Hagngnaameedhoo.

Speaking at the ceremony held this evening in Hagngnaameedhoo, the President said he was working to return all such historical documents to the islands where they were written about. He further said the objective of this work was to revive the culture and history of the Maldives.
