Chairman of Dalian People’s Congress Huai Zhongmin, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Dr. Mohamed Waheed today.
During the meeting held at the President’s office this morning, discussions were focused on promoting cooperation between China and the Maldives.
During the meeting, the Vice President and the Chairman of the Dalian’s People’s Congress also exchanged ideas to boost the Maldivian economy and increase collaboration between the countries in the tourism sector.
Following the call the Chairman presented the Vice President with a picture book titled “Dreams of Red Mansions” by Artist Sun Wei in Qing Dynasty, which includes representations of Chinese culture and history.
