The cabinet has expressed its appreciation to all government agencies, companies and individuals for their contribution in making this year’s SAARC Summit a successful one. The cabinet made this recognition while discussing the many accomplishments made at the summit, at today’s cabinet meeting chaired by Vice President Dr. Mohamed Waheed.
The Vice President noted the hard work put in by all contributing parties, in achieving the desired results at the SAARC Summit. Speaking in this regard, Dr. Waheed highlighted the commendable work done for the summit, from the preparations, to the arrangement of all side meetings held during the SAARC Summit. He especially congratulated and conveyed his gratitude, on behalf of the cabinet, to President Mohamed Nasheed for his exemplary work.
The Vice President further thanked all parties for working diligently under the direct supervision of the President. The cabinet recognises the many contributions of government agencies, government companies, private companies, non government organisations, people of Addu City and Fuvahmulah, members of both the councils, the SAARC taskforce, and especially Maldives National Defence Force and Maldives Police Service for their incomparable contributions.
