President Mohamed Nasheed has this morning, met with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh of India at the President’s Office.
The President extended a warm welcome to the visiting Prime Minister on his arrival to Male’, on behalf of the government and the people of the Maldives.
Prime Minister Singh expressed his gratitude to the President, the government and the people of Maldives for the courteous welcome he received from Male’, and for the pleasant hospitality during his visit to the Maldives.
At the meeting, President Nasheed and Prime Minister Singh discussed the close relations that exist between the Maldives and India.
Official talks between the governments of the Maldives and India were also held at the President’s Office today.
The talks were mainly focused on increasing bilateral cooperation and further strengthening the relations between both countries.
