Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India and his spouse, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani of Pakistan, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, and President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan, have arrived in Addu City this afternoon, to attend the Seventeenth SAARC Summit.
On arrival at Gan Airport, the Heads of States were received by President Mohamed Nasheed and First Lady Laila Ali.
During the welcoming ceremony held at the airport, the officials were honoured by 7-gun salutes, followed by the national anthems. The officials then inspected Guards of Honour.
