The cabinet has today asked the Attorney General about the progress of the revision to the Prosecution Guidelines of criminal cases in the Maldives.
The cabinet requested that the compilation be finished soon, and the Prosecutor General be provided with the revised guidelines, as stated in the Constitution.
At today’s meeting, the cabinet also approved a country slogan and logo, after deliberations on a paper presented by the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation. ‘Maldives – Always Natural’ will replace the old slogan, ‘Maldives – the sunny side of life.’ The new slogan and logo were designed to represent all industrial sectors of the country, such as fishing and energy, and not just tourism.
