President sends a Special Envoy to Saudi Arabia to attend the Funeral of the Late Crown Prince

President Mohamed Nasheed has sent the Minister of Islamic affairs, Dr. Abdul Majeed Abdul Bari to Saudi Arabia as a Special Envoy, to attend the funeral of the late Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the younger half-brother of the Saudi King.

Dr. Abdul Majeed departed for Saudi Arabia this afternoon.

The funeral of Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
