Vice President Dr Mohamed Waheed and Spouse of the Vice President Madam Ilham Hussain have departed on an official visit to China.
The Vice President’s visit to China is on an invitation from the Sichuan province to deliver a lecture at the Sichuan University. He will also attend and deliver a speech at a Western China business meeting.
During his visit, Dr Waheed will meet with Chinese investors and brief them on the investment opportunities in the Maldives.
Prior to his departure, the Vice President met with the local media.
