President Mohamed Nasheed has today established “Fuvahmulaku Development Corporation Limited” as a government company with the government and the Fuvahmulaku Atoll Council as its shareholders.
The company established by a decree of the President, would ensure economic and social growth in Fuvahmulah, and provide for the development of “Bilhifeyshi” and “Thoon’du” islands according to the government’s economic and social development policies. It will also facilitate means of income for the people and more opportunities for business investments.
The decree was signed at the special meeting held today in Fuvahmulah under the theme of “Role of SAARC in the development of Fuvahmulah”.
