President Mohamed Nasheed has today sent a special delegation to Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo, to disclose information on the government’s developmental plans for Thinadhoo.
The delegation will inform the people on the President’s decision to establish Thinadhoo Development Corporation, the land use plan and the housing programmes formulated for the people of Thinadhoo.
They will also discuss with the people, Thinadhoo Island Council’s request to the President to change the name of Thinadhoo, with consideration to archived information on the matter.
The delegation is scheduled to hold these discussions at a meeting held tonight.
