Vice President Dr. Mohamed Waheed has today met with the Secretary General of World Customs Organisation Kunio Mikuriya.
At the meeting held this morning at the president’s office, the Vice President highlighted on the issues relating to customs services in the country that are being tackled, and the emerging threats that need to be addressed. Vice President also discussed with the Secretary General about the areas that need further assistance from the organization.
Further, Dr. Waheed expressed his gratitude to the Secretary General for the organisation’s continuous support in strengthening the Maldives Customs Service.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner General of Maldives Customs Service Mohamed Aswan and Director at Maldives Customs Service Ismail Nashid.
