President Mohamed Nasheed has this morning departed for Manadhoo of Noonu Atoll.
During the visit, the President will launch the programme to transfer the ownership of land and other properties, in the islands, owned by the state to respective island councils.
The President will also hold discussions on establishing effective mechanisms in the councils to utilize land according the government policies.
