President Mohamed Nasheed has today formed the Veshi Fahi Malé Programme Office to centrally coordinate Veshi Fahi Malé Programme.
Veshi Fahi Malé Programme was initiated by the government as part of its housing pledge and aims to develop adequate housing as well as utilize available land space in Malé for industrial, commercial and socially beneficial purposes.
The Veshi Fahi Malé Programme Office is to run as a separate office under the President’s Office.
President Mohamed Nasheed formed a separate office to centrally coordinate Veshi Fahi Malé Programme as the programme is build on the combined efforts of several sectors and smooth functionality is attainable through a central administration office for the programme.
