President Mohamed Nasheed has appointed Mr Ahmed As-ad as the Financial Controller at the Ministry of Finance and Treasury today.
He is appointed to the post at the rank of a state minister.
Following the change, former Financial Controller Mr Mohamed Ahmed has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury.
