Uz Ahmed Rasheed was today sworn in as a member of the Judicial Service Commission, at a ceremony held today at the President’s Office.

Uz Ahmed Rasheed is the lawyer elected to the Commission from the lawyers licensed to practice in the Maldives, as stipulated in the Constitution.

He took his oath of office before the Chief Justice Uz Abdulla Saeed. Letter of Appointment to Uz Rasheed was presented by the President.

Addressing Uz Ahmed Rasheed, the President spoke on the importance of strengthening the Judiciary. He also congratulated Uz Rasheed for being elected to the Judicial Service Commission.
