President Mohamed Nasheed today ratified Business Profit Tax Bill, passed by the People’s Majlis on 30 December 2010. Following the ratification, Business Profit Tax Act has been published in the government Gazette.
Business Profit Tax Act, which is made up of six chapters, set out a framework and guidelines for placing a levy on profits of businesses operating in the Maldives.
