President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has reaffirmed the Administration's commitment to supporting parents and protecting every child's future on Global Day of Parents.
In a post on his official X account to mark the occasion, the President paid tribute to the selfless sacrifice of parents whose love and resilience shape future generations and strengthen the nation. He highlighted the Government's investment in education, healthcare, and community programmes as central to upholding the Maldivian tradition of family as the cornerstone of society.
First Lady Sajidha Mohamed also shared a post on her official X account, standing in solidarity with all parents whose love, patience, and sacrifice nurture the lives of children. She emphasised that as Maldivians, the bond of family lies at the heart of communities, and called on all Maldivians to provide the space and support for parents and celebrate their vital role in ensuring every child grows up surrounded by care, protection, and opportunity.
Global Day of Parents is observed worldwide on 1 June to honour parents and recognise their role in children's upbringing and development.
