The National Awards Committee will open nominations for the 2026 National Award for Public Service on Wednesday, 6 May, with the award criteria to be published in the Government Gazette.
Nominations will remain open until 11 June, and will be accepted exclusively through the President's Office form submission portal.
The Award is a prestigious national honour conferred by the President, recognising individuals who have served the Maldivian state for more than 35 years with dedication, and contributed to the advancement of their institutions.
Recipients will be presented with a shield, a badge of honour, and a commemorative certificate.
