His Excellency President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has extended warm greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, on the occasion of the 54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In his letter to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President Dr Muizzu expressed admiration for the remarkable achievements attained under the President’s visionary leadership, noting that the UAE has transformed into a beacon of innovation, stability, and constructive global engagement.

In his letter to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the President acknowledged his distinguished leadership, under which Dubai has emerged as a leading centre of innovation, economic growth, and cultural collaboration.

President Dr Muizzu underscored the Maldives’ commitment to advancing the strong and longstanding partnership between the two countries, grounded in mutual respect, shared Islamic values, and a common aspiration for peace and sustainable development. He expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of cooperation across all areas of mutual interest and extended personal best wishes for the continued good health and wellbeing of the leaders, as well as for the ongoing progress and prosperity of the brotherly people of the UAE.

The President also conveyed his greetings on his official X account, extending felicitations to the UAE leadership and people. In his post, he reflected on the significance of the occasion for the Emirati nation and expressed optimism about the continued advancement of Maldives–UAE relations.

UAE National Day is observed annually on 2 December to commemorate the unification of the emirates in 1971.
